It's funny... Not counting all the 1 day Seascape cruises we used to take to the Bahamas when I was little, this was my second big cruise. And I remember that during the first big cruise, over 15 years ago, aboard the Carnival ship, Holiday, the sea seemed so vast and lonely. So much emptiness for miles around! And now.. On my second trip out... What do I find but the exact opposite! The sea was so crowded this time... There was hardly a time when there WASN'T a ship or two in the distance. Freighters and Cruise ships of every kind passed us by every day! Anyway... Out ALL the 300+ pictures I took on our cruise, probably the most significant is this excellent shot taken from one of the windows aboard the ship. I forget the name of the deck, specifically, all I know is that it's the one directly below the Lido deck and which has the "Broadway Street" lined with shops, clubs, and the casino. Anyway... This was taken on our first night aboard ship. As we were looking out at the sea and messing with the camera, I noticed something quite amazing... A hole in the clouds through which the last rays of the setting sun were seeping through with immense brilliance! And.. Sailing right into this light, another Carnival ship that had been trailing us for a couple hours (and would eventually speed up and pass in front of us as they went seemingly sailed to Cozumel as some of the navigational maps on the ship seemed to indicate, later that night). Of course, when I first spotted it, it wasn't there yet. I probably stayed and wasted half an hour waiting for the ship to be in JUST the right position! And here it is! XD

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
